Below is the job description for the position of Technical Writer at Broadridge.

Position: Broadridge is seeking a Technical Writer with 02 – 05 years of experience in the Technical Writing industry.

Work Location: During the initial 03 – 06 months, the writer will work at the Hyderabad office. Subsequently, the writer should be prepared to relocate to the Bangalore office.

Job Description:

  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and translate product documentation in compliance with the company’s established deadlines.
  • Work with Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts to gather product information, analyze documentation requirements, and schedule reasonable delivery deadlines.
  • Prepare charts, graphics, and screen captures to effectively illustrate the material.
  • Generate documentation for print and online help.
  • Use Madcap Flare for writing and editing documentation.
  • Develop storyboarding scripts for tutorials and 02 – minute videos.

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in Madcap Flare
  • Experience in technical design, layout, and production concepts and practices
  • Proficiency in topic-based writing and the capacity to compose content in both explanatory and procedural styles
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Strong Project Management skill is an asset
  • Must be a reliable team player able to effectively manage multiple deliverables with minimum supervision.

Software Requirements:

  • Expert in Madcap Flare
  • Knowledge of XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of version control system (GitLab)
  • Knowledge of Madcap Mimic, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar programs is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Interested and relevant experience candidates can share their resume
