Position Title: TECHNICAL WRITER –COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING

Reports to: DOCUMENTATION MANAGER
Description: As a technical Writer you will develop online help content for our Communication Systems Toolbox that provides algorithms and apps for the analysis, design, end-toend
simulation, and verification of communications systems in MATLAB and Simulink. Engineers use tools like ours to connect transmitter and receiver models to radio devices and verify designs with over-the-air testing. This position gives an opportunity for self-starters with the background, skills, and enthusiasm for communicating creative ways to use Company’s Communication Systems Toolbox
products.
Responsibilities:
 Write user-focused content that explains how to use tools to design, model, and simulate engineering systems
 Translate software functionality into simple step- by-step processes, in a form that is applicable and in alignment with our customer’s needs
 Develop examples and tutorials that use our software to model and verify communications systems
 Participate with the development team in the planning, specification, and testing phases of product development
Qualifications: The incumbent should have the ability to explain engineering or science concepts in writing and also develop and document simple, creative demonstrations of practical
solutions. Should be able to work collaboratively within cross-function product teams and a multi-writer team
1. Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of professional experience or a Master’s degree with one (1) year of professional work experience
2. Experience writing about technical content for engineering audiences
3. Experience with communications system modeling
4. Experience with wireless LANs or cellular communications
5. Knowledge of LTE/LTE advanced
**Desired**
1. Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts
2. Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink
3. Experience working in a software development environment
